Perched high above the skyline of Serbia’s capital, the newly opened St. Regis Belgrade, located at Nikolaja Kravcova 1, promises an unparalleled blend of luxury, history, and modern sophistication. Officially opening its doors in October 2024, this landmark hotel occupies the first 11 floors of the iconic Belgrade Tower in the city’s most contemporary neighborhood, Belgrade Waterfront. The addition of the St. Regis to this vibrant urban setting marks the brand’s first entry into the region, making it a game-changer for Serbia’s hospitality industry.

The St. Regis Belgrade is only the sixth hotel of the prestigious New York-based brand in Europe, reaffirming Belgrade’s position as an emerging world-class destination. Moreover, Belgrade is the only place in Europe, along with London, where there will be St. Regis branded apartments. With a legacy spanning more than a century, the St. Regis brand is known for selecting the most coveted addresses around the globe for its hotels and branded residences. The arrival of such an esteemed brand in Serbia not only elevates the country’s hospitality standards but also signals Belgrade’s growing prominence on the global travel map.
One of the most striking features of The St. Regis Belgrade is its 360-degree observation deck, offering breathtaking views of the city. From this unique vantage point, guests can take in the rich history of Belgrade while witnessing its rapid modernization. This harmonious blend of past and present is reflected throughout the hotel’s interior, which houses 119 spacious guestrooms, including 17 suites and one expansive presidential suite.
Each room is a sophisticated combination of contemporary and traditional Serbian design elements, with the guestrooms starting at 40 square meters. The crown jewel, the 192-square-meter presidential suite, offers a stunning 240-degree panoramic view of Belgrade, ensuring an unparalleled experience for the most discerning guests.

In line with the St. Regis legacy of exceptional service, the Belgrade property introduces the brand’s signature Butler Service to the region. This personalized experience, available to all guests, reflects the hotel’s commitment to creating a sophisticated and seamless stay. Whether it’s unpacking luggage, arranging exclusive experiences, or offering a perfectly crafted cup of coffee, the butlers are there to ensure every need is met.
The St. Regis Belgrade welcomes guests with a grand sense of arrival through the Long Gallery, setting the tone for the luxurious experience that awaits. From there, visitors can explore a host of upscale amenities, including the glass-wrapped Astor Ballroom with stunning open views, the Savant Brasserie, and the Rise Patisserie. The famed St. Regis Bar invites guests to indulge in signature cocktails, while the St. Regis Spa and Fitness Center offer an urban sanctuary to unwind and rejuvenate.
The hotel’s opening ceremony, held at the end of September, was attended by notable figures, including Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who proudly remarked on the significance of this development, noting the rapid growth in Serbia’s hotel sector, which has seen an 81% increase in hotels since 2012. He highlighted that “by the time of EXPO 2027, Serbia is expected to have around 150 hotels,” further establishing Belgrade as a premier destination for global travelers.

In an exclusive interview with Bloomberg Adria, Marc de Ruijter, General Manager of St. Regis Belgrade, outlines what sets the hotel apart and why the Serbian capital was chosen as its newest destination.
“We chose Belgrade for its exceptional potential, both for leisure and business travel. The city is often described as a hidden gem of Europe and a new cosmopolitan hub, blending rich history with its modern spirit. Belgrade’s dynamic urban landscape and avant-garde spirit align perfectly with our brand values,” says De Ruijter, highlighting the city’s strategic geographical location, growing economy, developing tourism sector, and increasing demand for luxury accommodation in Belgrade as additional reasons.
Located in the heart of the Belgrade Waterfront, Serbia’s most modern neighborhood, The St. Regis Belgrade is set to attract a new wave of luxury travelers. As the most prestigious brand in Marriott International’s portfolio, the hotel promises a level of opulence and exclusivity previously unseen in the city. Its debut is a testament to Belgrade’s rapid transformation into a global city that can accommodate the world’s most discerning visitors.
